Driver’s Education Course
Nationwide offers the standard 38-hour driver’s education course. This course is the accepted curriculum given by driving schools to satisfy the state’s statutes. It consists of (30) hours of classroom instruction and (8) hours of behind-the-wheel driving. Successful completion of this course will enable the student under the age of 18 to apply for a Connecticut driver’s license after holding a permit for a period of (4) months. This course also enables the majority of students to qualify for an insurance discount. Good student discounts are also given at most insurance companies. We recommend checking with your insurance agent.
Road Lessons
Students may go driving for 1 or 1.5 hours at a time. Students can be picked up at home, school, or a pre-designated location in West Hartford.
30-Hour Class Only
Students may elect to take just the 30-hour course if they so desire. This course does not include road lessons that can be purchased on a per/hour basis according to the student’s needs.
